1. Students will understand how ancient structures are composed of multiple shapes. 

2. Students will find the areas of quadrilaterals and composite figures by decomposing them into triangles or rectangles.

3. Students will derive the formula for the area of a right triangle using a rectangle. 

4. Students will apply a formula to find the area of a triangle.
