Unit Overview

Students will research ancient civilizations in an interdisciplinary project across social studies, math, and science to develop a diorama of a futuristic society that uses key components of ancient civilizations. 

Driving Question

How did ancient civilizations use geometric principles to design and sustain their societies, and how can we apply those same geometric concepts to create a sustainable, futuristic society that adapts to specific climate challenges?
